Focal Point is the creative network for early-stage creative businesses and Freelancers in Greater Manchester. The project, run by CIDS (the Creative Industries Development Service), is a bi-monthly social event.
The event offers creative businesses a chance to meet other creative people, talk through problems, exchange ideas or even find a business partner. It also gave network members an opportunity to present their business through the Focal Point Gallery - a rapid-fire 'show and tell' platform.
In addition to the networking event, Focal Point also offers a range of business development opportunities for its members. 'Focal Point: Creative Focus' is a one-day business-planning workshop, where small groups of entrepreneurs get the opportunity to develop their ideas into a winning business formula.
As well as providing logo and guidelines, communications this year included a neon poster with our logo, re-interpreted and hand drawn by the illustrator Si Scott.
